Meet Nocturna Photography
Annapaola Marchesani is an Italian-born, London-based artist and the creative force behind Nocturna Photography. Her work explores the hidden layers of identity — the raw, the unspoken, the beautifully imperfect. Influenced by Wing Shya, Sarah Moon, and Cho Gi-Seok, as well as her love for East Asian cinema, her photography is cinematic yet intimate, driven by emotion and a deep sense of storytelling.
Annapaola trained at the London Institute of Photography, where she deepened her technical skills and refined her visual voice. Before that, she spent almost two decades working in communication and strategy, helping teams decode how people think, feel, and connect. That insight now shapes her creative approach — not just in how she sees, but in how she listens.
Each session is a quiet collaboration, a space of trust and curiosity. Her work, whether personal or professional, goes beyond appearance to capture presence — the fleeting, the vulnerable, the real.
